I am married to that tall hunk standing next to me, he is an amazing hubby and even better father. At one point, shortly before I met this guy, I had a long list of what I was looking for in a husband. I shared it with my grandma, she smiled, chuckled a little and said “Well ok young lady, I think you may have to compromise a little.” But… thats not really my style, from a young age “settling” was never my strong suit. I want what I want and I’m not afraid to put in the time or effort to get it. That is something God instilled in me, & i always knew He had someone out there for me! So ladies this is your reminder to never settle, His plan is greater. (Gentlemen, you too!). Did it come conventionally? Most definitely not, we got together and it’s a true beauty from ashes story.. but like in the format of the movie “Knocked Up”, just keepin’ it real. Fast Forward 6 years later, we now have 3 crazy boys and our hearts could not be any more full! (Or our hands, as you can see)
Jaxson is our oldest, he is 5 going on 15 and my husbands twin (especially in his childhood photos). That boy is a fighter and survivor, he has literally knocked on heavens gates more than once. Forever grateful God sends him back down to us, not a day goes by I don’t tell him how precious he is.
Logan is 2 and is far from your typical middle child. He demands it all and isn’t cool with anything less than most of our attention, safe bet to call him my mini in all aspects. The only fear that boy has is running out of snacks and getting his diaper changed. He takes every adventure head on, he also feels every emotion to the fullest. He’s such a happy go lucky, free spirited kid. I hope that light never dims.
That sweet baby is Johnny, he is 7 months old and he complete’s our family so well! He was named after my grandpa John who passed away 3/23/2020. That man was my best friend, I’m so grateful for all the memories we have. I see so much of his love for life in my sweet Johnny. My husband and I used to say, “I hope Johnny is our chill kid.” Now we get a good laugh out of that thought, he is however an AMAZING sleeper so ya win some, ya lose some.
I feel like the luckiest lady to be surrounded by so many amazing dudes who (for now at least) think the sun rises and sets with me. I’ll leave you with my favorite quote, I don’t know who origianlly said it. The first time I heard it was pregnant with Jax and by golly if it hasn’t been true every single day of my life since…
“The days are long, but the years are short” Soak it in mama’s. And on the extra hard days, we thank God for wine (;
